Why Verdalis

Considered work, from people who stay.

We keep our studio small on purpose. The same team that draws your plan is the team that plants it — and the one you'll still know years later.

Planted for Québec

Every palette is chosen to carry its colour through our long winters and come back stronger each spring — no short-lived showpieces.

One team, start to finish

No sub-contracted surprises. Designers, builders and gardeners under one roof, accountable for the whole result.

Built to mature

We design for the garden at year five, not opening day — so your investment deepens in value and beauty over time.

Our approach

We design with the land, not against it.

Every Verdalis garden begins by listening — to the site, the seasons and the people who will live in it. From there we work in four unhurried stages, keeping you close at every step.

  1. Listen & survey

We walk the site, map sun and drainage, and learn how you want to use the space.

  2. Design & refine

Concept plans, mood and planting palettes — reviewed together until it feels right.

  3. Build & plant

Our own crews handle hardscaping and planting with care for every detail.

  4. Tend & grow

Ongoing maintenance so the garden settles in and improves each season.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

A few things clients often ask before we begin. Have another? We're happy to talk it through.

How long does a garden project take?

A typical design phase runs four to six weeks, with build and planting scheduled to the season. Courtyards may finish in days; larger grounds are often staged across a year so each area is planted at its best moment.

Which areas do you work in?

We work across Greater Montréal and the surrounding regions — the Laurentians, the Eastern Townships and the Montérégie. For projects further afield, reach out and we'll let you know honestly if we're the right fit.

Do you take on smaller gardens?

Gladly. Some of our favourite work is a balcony, a side passage or a compact city courtyard. Good design isn't about square metres — it's about getting the details right.

Can you maintain the garden afterwards?

Yes. Most clients continue with a seasonal maintenance programme so the garden is tended by the people who know it best. It's optional, flexible, and easy to pause.

How do your fees work?

Design is a fixed fee based on scope, agreed before we start. Build and planting are quoted transparently, line by line, with no surprises once the plan is signed off.
